AWARE in Evansville is getting some help for one of their weekend programs courtesy of grant funding from the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin.

AWARE Program Manager Amy Floan says they’re getting $2,500 for their “Snackpackers” program, which provides weekend meals for Evansville School District students.

Floan says they use the money to cover the first $2500 worth of meals, so it gives them a bit of a head starts and helps them take the pressure off as they look for other funding for the program.

Floan says they’ll always accept monetary donations for the program, and those can be done at AWARE’s website.
