Beloit police are investigating a shooting on the city’s east side.  Police say officers were called to the 1200 block of Dewey Avenue just after 3:00 a.m. Saturday for a report of shots fired.  Officers found one man suffering a gunshot wound.  The victim was taken to a local hospital.  Police did not know the victim’s status early Saturday morning.
