O’Riley and Conway’s Irish Pub in downtown Janesville gets the go-ahead to build a two-story addition that will house brewing and distilling operations, additional seating, and a stage for live music.
Construction of the 4,250 square foot addition would result in the loss of about five off-street parking spots for a total of 15.
Associate Planner Trae Meyer says because the new addition would have an elevator, customers of Cozy Inn will also benefit as they will have a way to get to the second-story restaurant without trekking up the stairs off of West Milwaukee Street.
The Janesville Plan Commission approved a conditional use permit for the project in a unanimous vote Monday night.
