Wisconsin residents are invited to walk, run, skate, scooter, cycle, or use a mobility device to complete a 3.1 mile race.

Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Recreation Partnerships Section Manager Melissa Vanlanduyt says the Happy Little 5K inspired by Bob Ross is a virtual event.

The event will run from Earth Day on April 22nd to Arbor Day on April 26th.

Registration is open until April 15th on the DNR’s website.

The registration fee is $36 and includes a Happy Little T-shirt, a commemorative bib number, finisher’s medal, and sticker.

Vanlanduyt says the Happy Little 5K benefits tree heath and protection across the state.
