A 39–year-old Beloit woman who’s accused of stealing oxycodone pills while employed at Rock Haven Nursing Home is bound over for trial.
Courtney C. Lestikow appeared before Rock County Court Commissioner Mason Braunschweig Wednesday afternoon where she waived her right to a preliminary hearing on a single charge of felony theft.
According to the criminal complaint, on November 3rd, the nursing director at the County-owned nursing home discovered that several oxycodone pills for a patient were unaccounted for after they had been ordered from the pharmacy.
Lestikow was confronted about the missing pills and reportedly admitted to stealing 20 oxycodone tablets and consuming all of them to commit suicide.
Lestikow plead not guilty to the charge on Wednesday. She is currently free on a signature bond.
