A 21-year-old Janesville man is bound over for trial on possession of child pornography charges.

Brendan Whitney appeared in Rock County Court Tuesday morning where he waived his right to a preliminary hearing.

According to the criminal complaint, Dropbox made a referral to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding Whitney who had uploaded suspected child pornography to the online file-storage platform.

Milton Police got a search warrant for Whitney’s Dropbox account and found dozens of explicit images and videos of prepubescent children.

Whitney is due back in Rock County Court on February 27th for his arraignment.
