
The 48-year-old Janesville man accused of supplying the illegal drugs that killed a 41-year-old Janesville man in January of 2021 pleads guilty to the charge against him.
According to online court records David Steptoe plead guilty to a single count of first degree reckless homicide by delivery of drugs Monday afternoon in Rock County Court.
Steptoe was first taken into custody in October of 2021 by Beloit police on separate drug charges including possession with intent to deliver heroin, cocaine and T-H-C.
Janesville police arrested him again while in custody on a new charge of first-degree reckless homicide for the Janesville man’s death that resulted from a drug mixture of fentanyl and cocaine.
Steptoe faces up to 25 years in prison at his sentencing on May 3rd.
