A lot will be changing at the former Janesville Mall in the next year and a half.

Officials at Uptown Janesville are optimistic about what the future Woodman’s Sports and Convention Avenue will bring to the large retail building.

Mall Manager Julie Cubbage says all of the anchor tenants were part of the decision.

Cubbage says she’s working on activities and events that will make visitors to the WSCC want to come into the mall and visit the establishments.

Contractor J.P. Cullen intends to begin demolition of the former Sears building next month.
