Public health in northern Illinois is benefiting from $2.2 million in grant funding from the Department of Health and Human Services.

Illinois Congressman Eric Sorenson says Crusader Community Health provides high-quality services regardless of a patient’s ability to pay.

The Rockford Democrat made the announcement Wednesday afternoon.

Crusader provides primary care, dental, and behavior health care to more than 61,000 individuals in Winnebago County annually.

Crusader Community Health has clinics in South Beloit, Rockford, Belvidere, and Loves Park.
