A 23-year-old Brodhead man is being held in the Rock County Jail on a $5000 cash bond after being accused of shaking his six-month-old baby hard enough to cause a brain bleed.

According to the criminal complaint, Rock County Child Protective Services were called to a Madison hospital on November 3rd for a baby with a brain bleed that was consistent with being shook.

Medical testing determined that the child’s injury was anywhere from one to four weeks old.

The baby’s father Damien R Wolf admitted that when he watches the child at his town of Spring Valley home, he often shakes him out of frustration when he cries.

Wolf is charged in Rock County Court with a single count of physical abuse of a child – recklessly causing great bodily harm.
