After a number of Rock County employees spoke out at a September county board meeting about being “red circled”, the county board looks to make things right.
County Administrator Josh Smith says earlier this year the county adopted a new wage grid there were several changes to what employees and certain positions might be paid, and on the new 14 step wage grid some employees were paid higher than the new top step on the gird.
Smith says at Thursday night’s meeting the board of supervisors will look at resolution that attempts to address the issues where certain individuals are not receiving those cost of living increases.
More than 40 employees are impacted by the “red circling”, and they total 866 years of experience working for the county.
