A 38-year-old Janesville man is sentenced to 13 years in federal prison for a number of armed robberies in September of 2020 including several in Janesville.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Madison says Devonti Wilson plead guilty in March to armed robbery and brandishing a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.

According to a news release, Wilson robbed Lions Quick Mart in Janesville at gunpoint on September 8th of 2020, and then proceeded to rob several more stores in Madison and Fitchburg.

Two days later Wilson committed four more armed robberies in Janesville including a Kwik Trip, a second Lion’s Quick Mart, Tigermart Exxon, and a Walgreens.

At the time of the robberies Wilson was a convicted felon who was prohibited from possessing a firearm.
