One of Janesville’s longest standing community organizations will soon be closing its doors
According to a Facebook post, the Kiwanis Club of Janesville will be ceasing operations after more than 100 years of service to the city.
In the post, the Kiwanis Club says it especially regrets the end of Kiwanis Pancake Day, a fixture in the community for nearly 70 years which has raised over $750,000 that was funneled back into the community.
The post says Kiwanis will still be alive and well in Janesville through the Blackhawk Golden K Kiwanis Club, who will continue their mission as they have for the past 40 years.
The post did not give an exact date for when operations will cease.
