A pair of legislators stopped by Edgerton Hospital Thursday morning to talk about the state of healthcare in Wisconsin.
43rd Assembly District Representative Jenna Jacobson of Oregon says the state needs to find ways to create opportunities for people who want to get into the healthcare field, whether they’re college graduates or people looking to transition into a new career.
State Senator Mark Spreitzer of Beloit says the Department of Health Services is working with local providers to make sure they know how to talk to patients about staying on medicaid, and if they can’t they’ll need to be provided resources in order to find healthcare coverage.
Both politicians were in attendance to present Edgerton Hospital with a flag that was flown over the state capitol.
