The services friends groups provide to county parks are invaluable.

Rock County Parks Manager John Traynor says the Friends of Rock County Parks are trying to establish a new group at Rock River Heritage Park.

In informational meeting will be taking place on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the former main dining hall at the park.

Rock River Heritage Park is a 178-acre property located northwest of Janesville on the eastern banks of the Rock River just off North River Road. The parcel was originally created in 1946 for Boy Scouts of America.
