Some changes could be coming to the Beloit International Film Festival in the upcoming years.
Executive Director Greg Girard says they’re considering moving the date of the festival from the end of February to some time in the spring.
Gerard says they’re considering moving for a variety of reasons, including the hope there might be some more temperate weather, and they could avoid having to plan the festival during the holiday season.
Gerard says they’ve seen other festivals like the Milwaukee and Wisconsin Film festivals move dates in recent years, but they’ll be sticking with where they’re at for now.
Gerard says the earliest the festival could possible move would be 2024.
