The City of Janesville lifts the water quality advisory at Lions Beach.
According to a news release, the City takes weekly water samples at Lions Beach to monitor E. coli bacteria.
The beach’s most recent water quality test, collected the week of August 8th showed decreased bacteria levels in the swimming area.
These results no longer require the Recreation Division to past a water quality advisory notice at the facility.
Bacteria counts at the beach vary throughout the season depending on usage and environmental factors, such as rainfall.
