A new restaurant with a drive-thru is expected one of five tenants in a new building planned on Milton Avenue in Janesville.

Janesville Senior Planner Brian Schweigl says the property at 1247 Milton Avenue is located between Advanced Auto Parts and Dominos Pizza.

It was most recently an auto dealer, but has been vacant for the last few years.

Schweigl says the property owner is seeking a conditional use permit to construct a building with several tenant, spaces, one of which would have a drive-thru.

Owner Daniela Samara says she plans a high-end, mostly glass building that contains five tenant spaces, with a mixture restaurant and office. Samara is still working out the detail on who the tenants would be.

On Monday night the Janesville Plan Commission is scheduled to set a public hearing for the project on January 6th.
