It’ll be a day to build connections at Beloit Memorial High School next Wednesday.

Students will have the chance to explore the wide array of post-secondary options available to them at the BMHS Expo from 5 to 7 p.m. in Barkin Arena and the school’s fieldhouse.

The expo serves as a way to showcase Beloit Memorial students and the school’s academy model of secondary schooling.

Brian Michels, an academy coach and senior class adviser who organized this year’s expo, says there will be 70 business and industry partners and 27 educational institutions and military representatives present to meet with students.

It’s not just for those attending Beloit Memorial, either. Michels says high schoolers and their families from around the stateline area are invited to check out the expo. In addition to the post-secondary opportunities fair, future and prospective BMHS students can learn more about the school and its programs, activities, clubs and athletics.
