There’s still one day left of National Hispanic Heritage Month and Becoming Better Neighbors in Evansville is taking advantage.

AWARE in Evansville Program Manager Amy Floan says a free community celebration is happening Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Creekside Place.

Floan says Hispanic people are the largest minority population in Evansville and they want them to know they are seen and welcomed.

The event will feature a free light lunch and a performance by a mariachi band.
