A 33-year-old Rock County Jail inmate is accused of punching, kicking, and stomping her cell mate.
Shaqueeda Douglas faces a charge of battery by prisoners after the Sheriff’s Office says she attacked another inmate after being woken up early last Friday.
Douglas made her initial appearance in Rock County Court this week where Court Commissioner Jack Hoag set cash bond at $500.
Douglas currently has six other open felony cases that she’s currently awaiting sentencing on.
In 2017 in Tennessee Douglas was accused of shooting from a porch into a vehicle with four people inside including a nine-month-old baby. In 2020 she was charged in Rock County Court with trying to run another woman over with her vehicle in Beloit. In 2022 Beloit Police arrested Douglas after she was accused of chasing a man with a knife and trying to “slice” him.
She’s due back in Rock County Court for a preliminary hearing on the new charge on October 21st.
