The Janesville Police Department and the Rock County District Attorney’s Office apparently have a great working relationship although they don’t always agree.
Janesville Police are continuing to keep an eye on a suspect who was arrested over a month ago for a shooting but never charged.
Police Chief Chad Pearson says 24-year-old Dalton Talley was taken into custody on August 29th after he was suspected of shooting out the windows in one of the doors at Craig High School.
He appeared in Rock County Court on August 30th where cash bond was set at $2,000 even though no charges were ever filed.
In Court this week this district attorney’s office asked that Talley be released from bond.
Pearson says there is a concern on his part that Talley is out in the community.
Police have not said whether Talley is also suspected in a separate, reported shooting that authorities say blew out multiple windows at the Masonic Center the same night as the shooting at the school.
