A 19-year-old from Janesville is charged with four counts of possession of child pornography.

According to the criminal complaint, Janesville Police received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about a Snapchat account belonging to Alex Esox Acker that contained photos and videos of pre-pubescent children being sexually assaulted.

Some of the files dated back to July of 2023 when Acker was only 17-years-old.

According to the criminal complaint Acker admitted to police that he had been addicted to child pornography since he was in middle school and knew it was wrong.

Acker is currently free on a signature bond. He’s due back in Rock County Court for a preliminary hearing on October 7th.
