Election mail from third parties appears to be confusing Janesville residents.

The Voter Participation Center and Center for Voter Information are apparently sending out voter registration forms and absentee ballot applications to Janesville residents that contain inaccurate or outdated information.

Clerk Treasurer Lori Stottler says although the return address is to the Clerk’s office, the City of Janesville has no relationship with these organizations.

Stottler says the Clerk-Treasurer’s office will never send out such forms unless specifically requested by the individual.
