The Milton School District is notifying parents about an online threat of violence against several Rock County schools including Milton High School.

According to an email sent to parents the Milton Police Department became aware of a social media poster similar to one discovered last week threatening several schools in Minnesota.

The Milton School District says the safety of staff and students is the highest priority so the school resource officer and additional low enforcement officers will be present and patrolling around schools today.
