The United Way Blackhawk Region Board of Directors names a new President and CEO.

Janesville native Lisa Hurda will step into the role on October 14th.

Hurda has served as Director of College Advancement & Foundation at Blackhawk Technical College since 2020. She’s also a member of the Janesville School Board.

Former United Way Blackhawk Region President and CEO Mary Fanning-Penny left in April to take the job of Vice President of Communications at Summit Credit Union after nearly a decade leading the local non-profit.
