Police are trying to find two people who posed as tree cutters and then stole items from a Janesville home.

Janesville police say on Saturday, a man who said he was with “Jose’s Tree Service” knocked on a person’s door at 3700 Bryn Mawr Drive, and claimed he was there to trim trees for the city.

Police say while the resident led the man to the backyard, another unknown person slipped in the house and stole multiple items.

The two the left in a white van.

Police say anyone with information can call Janesville police or the Rock County 911 center’s non-emergency line, or they can enter an anonymous tip on the P-3 Tips app.
