A Janesville cop throws his hat in the ring that is the race for Wisconsin’s 44th Assembly District.
Longtime Janesville resident Bruce Danielson has announced his candidacy, running as a republican.
Danielson is a Janesville police officer who works on the department’s crisis intervention and homeless outreach teams.
The lawman says he’d focus on state-level efforts to ensure police have the tools to protect their communities.
He says he’s also interested in bringing more career readiness training to high schools with a focus on hands-on training and technology.
He joins a field of candidates for the 44th Assembly District seat including Democrats Cathy Myers and Ann Roe.
Current 44th Assembly Representative Sue Conley is not seeking re-election.
