Emergency responders are dealing with a gas leak at Milton Propane.

Rock County Emergency Management Director Kevin Wernet says Lakeside Fire – Rescue was first dispatched to the scene just before 5:30 Monday morning.

Wernet says crews are working to transfer the propane from the leaky tank onto a truck.

Several homes and businesses along West High Street were evacuated.

County Y is currently closed between Townline Road and High Street. Vincent Street is closed from County Y to High Street. High Street is closed from Vincent to Elm Street; and Elm Street is closed from High to Vincent Street.

There were no reported injuries.
