The Janesville School Board scales back a proposed facilities referendum to get to keep it in line with what respondents to a district-wide survey would support.
Chief Financial Officer Dan McCrea says a $151.8 million referendum would include $124.5 million to address critical building conditions and capital maintenance.
McCrea says the impact to the owner of a $300,000 home would be $243.
The Board will consider approval of a resolution that would put the referendum on the November ballot at a meeting next month.
They could also approve a resolution renewing the $14.5 million referendum first approved in 2020.
