Open less than a full week, the Krueger Pool in Beloit was forced to suddenly close, but good news is on the horizon.
Recreation Supervisor Riley Magnuson says the first significant issue was a pipe that goes to the pump that fills the pool ruptured and on top of that, a chunk of concrete on the side of the pool was damaged.
Magnuson says both issues have been resolved, but before they reopen Tuesday, Beloit Memorial High School is opening their pool to the community from 2-6pm Saturday, 11am to 6pm Sunday, and noon to 6pm Monday.
Krueger Pool was originally built in the 1930s and was renovated in the mid-1980s.
