A 27-year-old Beloit man is accused of continuing a cycle of trauma that began in the 1990’s when his parents sexually assaulted his siblings and a baby sitter.

Cody Markham was charged in Rock County Court this week with repeated sexual assault of a child and incest for raping and sodomizing a child he is related to beginning in January of 2024 when they were seven-years-old.

It was the same victim that 53-year-old Kelly Faye Markham and 57-year-old Spencer Markham of Janesville – Cody’s parents – are accused of sexually assaulting when they were only five years old in 2021.

Kelly Markham is charged with failure to protect a child, second degree sexual assault of a child, child enticement, and incest. She’s accused of both participating and standing by while Spencer Markham raped her own children in the 1990’s. She was also present during the sexual assault of the young relative in 2021.

Spencer Markham is charged with three counts of repeated sexual assault of a child.

Spencer Markham is currently being held in the Rock County Jail on a $300,000 cash bond. Cash bond was set at $250,000 for Kelly Markham.

Court Commissioner Jack Hoag set cash bail at $100,000 for Cody Markham on Monday.
