Rock County has until the end of this year to finish spending the over $31 million in American Rescue Plan Act Funds it received.

Thursday the Rock County Board’s Finance Committee will consider a resolution that would allocate unallocated and unspent American Rescue Plan Act Funds to help victims of the February tornado near Evansville.

District 2 Supervisor Doug Sutter says Rock County residents affected by this natural disaster are not eligible for state or federal support.

If the funding is approved by the Finance Committee, and eventually the full Rock County Board, it would be administered by Edgerton Community Outreach.

Rock County has about $432,000 in unallocated ARPA funds left, and another $500,000 in money that was allocated but won’t be spent.
