A shuttered Beloit intermediate school apparently suffered at least two break-ins within days of each other last month.
Beloit Police posted on their Facebook page that on May 26th three people broke into the former school on Frederick Street, caused significant damage, and stole electronic items.
Days later on May 29th, three suspects broke into the school again.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Rock County Court, 17-year-olds Adriel Carerra Montes and David Romero Arroyo, and 18-year-old Alexis Castro – all of Beloit – are charged with burglary and theft. Castro is also charged with criminal damage to property.
The criminal complaint alleges that Castro threw a kettle ball through a window to gain entry, and then let the other two in. They are accused of stealing some light fixtures.
