A 42-year-old man is dead after a fatal, single-vehicle, crash in Janesville.  A police news release reports the crash happened about 7:00 p.m. Friday on Jackson Street , just south of State Street.  Officers located the vehicle on its driver’s side, in the terrace, on the east side of the road.  The driver was the lone occupant of the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.  The release adds police believe the driver lost control of the vehicle due to speed leading up to the crash. The Rock County Medical Examiner will be responsible for releasing the victim’s name.
