The Janesville man charged with killing his kid sister in the less than two hours their dad was at Menards in March is bound over for trial.

20-year-old Dayveon Lathrop appeared in Rock County Court Monday morning on charges of first-degree intentional homicide and hiding a corpse.

Court Commissioner Jack Hoag found that enough evidence had been presented that a felony had probably been committed by Lathrop. Pleas of not guilty were entered on his behalf.

According to the criminal complaint, Lathrop stabbed his eight-year-old sister to death and then tried to hide her body in a storage tote with bleach and peroxide while their dad was at Menards.

Lathrop is currently being held in the Rock County Jail on a $1.5 million cash bond.
