
Beloit police have arrested a man for a pair of shooting and an armed robbery in Beloit over the weekend.
According to a Facebook post from Beloit PD, officers responded to a shooting call in the 1700 block of Royce Avenue shortly before 11:30pm Saturday and found two homes had bullet damage.
While officers were investigating the shots fired call, a second call was reported for an armed robbery with the victim being assaulted in the 1300 block of Kenwood Avenue just after midnight Sunday morning.
Through investigation, 45-year-old Maurice Citchen was identified as a suspect in the shots fired call and the armed robbery, and Beloit officers took him into custody.
According to police Citchen was located with a minor gunshot wound, but the circumstances involving the injury remain under investigation.
Citchen faces charges of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Recklessly Endangering Safety, Armed Robbery, Battery, Disorderly Conduct while Armed, Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine, and a Parole Violation.
