$3,500 may seem like a pretty good chunk of change to spend on a vest for a dog, but they are worth every penny according to the Janesville Police Department.

Sergeant Drew Severson says they are currently raising money to buy a bullet and stab-proof vest for K-9 Viktos.

Severson says the entire K-9 program is funded through generous donations from the community.
