A 35 year old Beloit man has been arrested for allegedly killing his brothers dog.
A criminal complaint alleges Tyler Geffers arrived at a Janesville residence in the 1200 block of N. Parker Drive upset and angry, and threw a 4-5 year old chihuahua named “Tito” at the wall when it wouldn’t stop barking.
An officer responding to the incident immediately took the dog to the emergency vet where he died from his injuries.
Officers also learned Geffers had been involved in an armed incident in Illinois before arriving at the Janesville residence, and they eventually arrested him in Beloit.
Geffers made his initial appearance in Rock County court Tuesday and was ordered a $1,000 signature bond.
As part of his bond conditions, Geffers has been ordered to have no contact with animals.
