A death investigation is underway at a town of Fulton home according to the Rock County sheriff’s office.

Details are scant, but an on the scene Big Radio reporter says as of about 2pm Wednesday officers were located at and cordoned off the entire 2-acre property located at 9909 North Newville Road in Fulton.

The reporter on scene says one officer described the investigation as “big”, with a crime scene van backed up to a one-story ranch house located on the property.

In an earlier statement, the Sheriff’s office said officers were called out to the property at 7:27 a.m. to check the welfare of a resident or residents, but it turned into a death investigation upon arrival.

The sheriff’s office says it could be hours before more updates are available.
