A Beloit man makes his initial appearance in Rock County Court in connection with two separate violent cases.

24-year-old Isaiah Scott Washington is accused of raping a 14-year-old twice last month at a residence in Janesville. He’s charged in Rock County Court with two counts of second-degree sexual assault of a child.

He also faces charges of strangulation, battery, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct, and obstructing an officer in a separate case where he’s accused of violently attacking his girlfriend because she refused to have sex with him.

On Monday Court Commissioner Jack Hoag set cash bond at a total of $13,500.

Washington is due back in Rock County Court for an adjourned initial appearance on Friday.
