The Janesville Police Department will be doing a bit of show and tell Monday night.

Officers will be demonstrating their new Tasers and body cameras to the City Council as part of the City Manager Update portion of their meeting.

Police Chief Chad Pearson says they won’t actually be tasing a real person as both Taser and the City’s insurance recommends against it.

Pearson says the new body cameras provide clear audio and video, and are much easier for officers to use.

The Janesville City Council meets Monday night at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall.
