Local establishments are finding ways to attract customers during the Janesville Town Square Gran Prix bicycle races next month.

A new bar on North Franklin Street run by the same owner as O’Riley and Conway’s Irish Pub is looking to set up a patio on West Milwaukee Street during the event.

The Franklin Street Tavern is located at 13 North Franklin Street, the same location as the former Steve & Holly’s Restaurant and Lucky Ducky Diner.

Janesville City Clerk Lori Stottler says an application for temporary extension of premises will go before the Alcohol License Advisory Committee Tuesday morning.
