O’Riley and Conway’s Irish Pub in downtown Janesville is looking to add a two-story addition that will house brewing and distilling operations, additional seating, and a stage for live music.

Construction of the 4,250 square foot addition would result in the loss of about five off-street parking spots for a total of 15.

Associate Planner Trae Meyer says downtown businesses district doesn’t have any parking requirements.

Meyer says because the new addition would have an elevator, customers of Cozy Inn will also benefit as they will have a way to get to the second-story restaurant without trekking up the stairs off of West Milwaukee Street.

The Janesville Plan Commission will hold a public hearing and consider a conditional use permit for the project when they meet Monday night.
