A 27-year-old Milton man is bound over for trial on a single count of repeated sexual assault of the same child.

Derek Singkofer appeared in Rock County Court for his preliminary hearing Friday morning where Janesville Police Detective Eric Grahn testified.

According to the criminal complaint, the investigation was sparked when the 14-year-old victim submitted a tip to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The victim told police Singkofer forced them to give him oral sex several times, and had intercourse at a residence in Milton in 2022 and 2023.

Singkofer is currently being held in the Rock County Jail on a $10,000 cash bond.

He’s due back in Rock County Court for his arraignment on May 9th.
