The largest private section fundraising effort in the City of Janesville’s known history is revealing the fruits of its labor.

The Janesville City Council is set to consider naming rights agreements for two of the more significant portions of the Woodman’s Sports and Convention Center when they meeting Monday night.

Neighborhood and Community Services Director Jennifer Petruzzello says Mercyhealth Corporation donated $1.5 million to what will be referred to as the Mercyhealth Arena.

The Kennedy Family Foundation is also donating $500,000 towards the project in exchange for naming the multi use/convention space the Robert & Delores Kennedy Conference Center.
