The Beloit School District is offering the chance for those in the community to learn more about adult educational opportunities.

Bilingual Family Support Specialist Tulio Duran says the event, which runs from 5:30 to 7:00pm Thursday at Beloit Memorial High School, is aimed at adults who have English as a second language.

Duran says one of the biggest challenges adults from other countries face is simply getting information, so Thursday’s program will provide plenty of resources and even interpreters to help with any language barriers.

Representative from Blackhawk Tech and Concordia University will be in attendance, and people will be able to learn about GED completion, English as a Second Language classes, and other higher education opportunities.
