
The Rock County Public Health Department is reporting an increase in overdoses in recent weeks.
According to a pose on the department’s Facebook page, Between April 3-8, there have been at least 5 drug overdoses connected to cocaine products laced with opioids.
The department says this is above the normal rate and indicates there may be very strong opioids or other drugs mixed in the local drug supply.
The department says narcan, fentanyl test strips and other safer use supplies can be obtained at the Beloit Public Library, the Rock County Sheriff’s Office, HealthNet of Rock County, and Vivent Health Wisconsin.
