Newcomer Susan Johnson has beat out fellow challenger Colten Measner for a spot on the Janesville School Board.

Johnson was actually the second highest vote getter, with 5,503 votes. Measner was the lowest vote getter with 3,826.

Incumbents Greg Ardrey and Elizabeth Paull were both re-elected, with Ardrey nabbing more than 4,700 votes and Paull getting 5,840.

Board members serve three-year terms and in the coming year, they may have to decide whether or not to put a referendum question on the November ballot.
