A woman with no fixed address who police say violently attacked a person while they were driving waives her right to a preliminary hearing in Rock County Court.

37-year-old Nikita Burris appeared before Court Commissioner Mason Braunschweig Friday morning on charges of first-degree recklessly endangering safety, strangulation and suffocation, disorderly conduct, and battery.

According to the criminal complaint, Burris stabbed the victim with a box cutter, and later choked him with his rosary beads after he threw her crack bong out the window of his car.

Burris later overdosed on drugs in the middle of the street and had to be revived with Narcan.

Burris is currently being held in the Rock County Jail on a $2,500 cash bond. She’s due back in court for her arraignment on April 3rd.
